Washington College invites nominations and applications for the position of President. Among the nation's leading liberal arts colleges, with a proud history of educating leaders since its founding in 1782 under the patronage of George Washington, Washington College provides a truly personalized education to a student body of some 1350 undergraduates and 50 - 60 part-time graduate students.
Washington College is located in historic Chestertown on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, 90 minutes from Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington, DC. The College takes full advantage of its proximity to the nation's capital and to the educational and co-curricular opportunities presented by the Chesapeake Bay. The College has established three centers of excellence which highlight key aspects of its identity: the C. V. Starr Center for the Study of the American Experience, the Center for Environment & Society, and the Rose O'Neill Literary House.
